About Nicky

Hi and Thanks so much for visiting our page. How cool is it that we all get to interconnect from every part of the world? I never quite saw myself as an 'Artist' but then again I suppose we are ALL artists. Isn't everything an art?.. 

A bit about me so we're not total strangers.. I grew up in Romania on the outskirts of a little Town called Sibiu. I go by Nicky as it's short for my middle name Nicoleta and my First name is Camelia, which is how I sign my masterpieces.  I was raised by my Grandparents on their farm so we had everything esp since back then it was a Communist country.  The details about that I will share with All of you in my upcoming book. I came to Canada as a kid in grade 7 so during high school I played around with pencil sketching Celebrities faces and the Elderly alike. In fact one of my pieces was displayed in my junior high at our Open House. The artist in me came out right after that because I received so many reviews.  I was quite shocked, in a good way.  And that was the beginning and the end of my drawing until later on in life when I saw Bob Ross work his magic on tv.  He said that anyone can Paint and I believed him.  So displayed here is my First Ever real Painting with Acrylic.  It's the 'Blue Mountain' I co-painted with Pam :) This is Proof that anyone CAN paint and each of us can be really good at it. I fell in love with painting that particular piece as the moment we finished it, I just wanted to paint more and more and more...

There is something very magical that happens as you paint because you watch yourself create magic right in front of your eyes.  And so today I paint as I get Inspired.  This is one of the many joys of being a Freelance Business Owner. I believe in Creating my life not living it according to what goes on around me.  I have to give it up to Steve Jobs for living this philosophy which gave birth to probably the Biggest Company on the Planet today :) Alas I invite you to post your comments and feedback not just on Art but anything you might want to share, and stay tuned for Art Around the World's coming attraction soon..
